Mock Interview Program
Preparing for your interview is an important step to landing a job or internship. The Career Management Center provides practice interviews (mock interviews) to familiarize you with what to expect in a typical interview and help you refine your interviewing skills. Our trained interviewers will prepare custom interview questions, as well as provide constructive feedback to help you perform at your best in your interviews.
Practicing interviews will make you more confident and prepared with responses when you meet the hiring team. Mock interviews can improve your chances of receiving an internship or job offer.
Mock Interviews are available for:
- Business majors
- Business graduate students
All business students are encouraged to participate in a Mock Interview when they are beginning a job or internship search.
Schedule early – space is limited!
- Mock Interviews are 50 minutes (25 min. interview + 25 min. feedback session)
- First 25 minutes: The session will simulate a real interview! Your interviewer will ask you a series of interview questions based on the sample job/internship description you submit when scheduling. The interview will be recorded.
- Second 25 minutes: Partner with your interviewer to review your recorded responses. Discuss and receive feedback on positives and areas for improvement.
- Sessions are recorded for learning purposes
- You’ll leave with written feedback, as well as a guide to interviewing tips and best practices.
- In-person or virtual interviews are available
- Dress as you would for an actual interview (business professional suggested)

- Submit your resume + sample job or internship description as instructed when you schedule the appointment. These will be critical for your interview to develop questions for your interview.
Mock Interviews are available weekly, typically beginning the fourth week of Fall semester, and second week of Spring semester. Mock Interviews are not available during summer, winter, and spring breaks.
