Supply Chain Management
Supply chain managers are primarily responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process, encompassing procurement, production, transportation, and the delivery of goods and services on a global scale. Their daily tasks involve coordinating and optimizing processes to efficiently convert raw materials and service inputs into finished products or service offerings for end-consumers, all while considering cost-effectiveness and timeliness. They also engage in negotiations to facilitate the transformation of raw materials into finished goods, streamline processes and product flows, lead projects that integrate various business functions and external partners, cultivate and manage relationships with suppliers, customers, and key collaborators, and ensure the smooth flow of both information and financial resources up and down the supply chain. Additionally, supply chain managers are responsible for ethically maintaining relationships with suppliers and crucial customers.
