Summary:
CoorsTek Supply Chain Management team is a seeking recent college graduate who has leadership potential, a can-do attitude, and a desire to learn and grow across a variety of Supply Chain roles. This role is intended to gain exposure across several disciplines, which may include assignments and tasks in the areas of planning, procurement/buying, data analytics, systems development, logistics, strategic sourcing, and category management across direct, indirect, and capital equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities/Disciplines:
Strategic Sourcing:
- Assist with supplier selection process, qualification of alternative sources, supply base rationalization programs and other relevant strategies to optimize the supply base.
- Deliver incremental savings and participate in process improvements that enable CoorsTek’s growth objectives.
Logistics:
- Manage freight forwarders to optimize the movement of goods throughout the CoorsTek supply chain.
- Work with stakeholders across multiple plants to deliver against strategic goals and plans for optimizing the shipping and logistics programs.
Category Management:
- Monitor the market for category leading practices, pricing trends, risks, and demand/supply shifts such as supply consolidations and innovations.
- Implement strategies to optimize spend and consumption while maintaining the best value for CoorsTek.
- Active Supplier Relationship Management: Development and measurement of KPI’s, supplier audits, business reviews, improvement plans, and identification of new opportunities.
Buying & Procurement Operations:
- Sources, negotiates, and purchases materials, equipment, supplies, and services of a specialized or complex nature in accordance with prescribed purchasing regulations and procedures.
- Manages open orders to ensure on-time delivery and the resolution of discrepancies between the invoice, purchase order, and receiving documents.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree; preferred majors include Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, and/or General Business Management.
- Supply chain or other internship experience (preferred)
- Prior experience participating in a team environment.
