Handshake, our campus-wide job and internship database, is the place where talent meets opportunity by connecting
students and alumni with employers through online job and internship postings, on-campus interviews, events, and
more.

Using Handshake is quick and easy–just follow this link to register your company:
https://colostate.joinhandshake.com/employer_registrations/new

If you have previously registered in our system, simply log in. If you are new to our system, in the upper right-hand
corner click “No account? Sign up here.” Additional instructions can be found here.
Once you create your employer account, you will want to connect with CSU. Employers are approved by the University
Career Center at CSU and can take a few business days to approve your account. Once approved, you can start posting
jobs/internships
for CSU students to view.

If your company already has a Handshake account and you would like to create your own user account to be able to post
jobs/internships, please follow these instructions.

You can engage with students through messaging and video chats. Handshake’s messaging feature allows you to reach
out to students individually from their profile, or via campaigns that promote your opportunities and events in
Handshake. Virtual Info Chats allow you to set up 15-minute one-on-one video calls with students. Create your schedule
to get started! Then you can link this calendar to jobs you post so students can schedule time with you to learn more
about the position. You can also send your availability calendar to students you are already messaging to take the
conversation to the next level. Or reach new students by promoting your availability calendar through bulk messaging.

Want to allow students to start the conversation? Make sure to check the “Visible on Company Profile” box in your
profile account information settings (this setting is off by default). This allows students to see your contact information
on your company’s handshake page and gives them the opportunity to message you first. Additionally, you can make
yourself available for students to contact specifically about job opportunities that you post. When creating the job
posting, mark that you are open to speaking with interested candidates and select if you would like students to message
you, find a time to video chat by linking your availability calendar, or both.
