How would you describe your role to someone unfamiliar with this kind of work?

As co-owner of Salz Home Solutions, I guide clients through buying and selling homes with a high-touch, relationship-driven approach. My role blends strategy, education, and community connection—I provide expert market insights, craft modern marketing strategies, and ensure seamless transactions. Beyond sales, I refine operations, foster trust, and create meaningful client experiences. By combining expertise with a personal touch, I help make real estate not just stress-free, but truly memorable.

What do you like about your job/career path?

What I love most about my job is the deep, lasting relationships we build. Many of our clients start as strangers but become genuine friends, and that connection is incredibly rewarding. Real estate isn’t just about transactions—it’s about trust, guiding people through big life changes, and being a steady, supportive presence long after closing day. Knowing that we’ve made a meaningful impact and created relationships that extend beyond business is what makes this work so fulfilling.

What trends do you see emerging in your industry/role?

Real estate is evolving with key trends shaping the industry. Technology and AI are making transactions more efficient through predictive analytics and virtual tours. Hyper-local expertise is in high demand as buyers and sellers seek agents who truly understand their communities. Relationship-driven business models are thriving, with clients valuing authenticity over sales tactics. Sustainability and energy efficiency are also becoming priorities, influencing home design and buyer decisions in a more eco-conscious market.

What advice do you have for students job searching in this field?

My biggest advice? Find an incredible mentor. Real estate is a people-driven industry, and learning from someone with experience can fast-track your growth. A great mentor will teach you the ins and outs of the market, help you navigate challenges, and offer insights you won’t find in a textbook. Seek out someone whose values align with yours, ask thoughtful questions, and be willing to learn. The best agents aren’t just skilled—they’re constantly evolving, and mentorship is one of the fastest ways to level up.

What guidance can you share with students about showing up authentically at work?

Authenticity is your superpower in real estate. People want to work with someone they trust, and that starts with being genuinely you—not a scripted salesperson. Lean into your strengths, communicate honestly, and don’t be afraid to show personality. Clients connect with real people, not just professionals. Also, remember that confidence comes with time; early on, it’s okay to say, “I don’t know, but I’ll find out.” Show up with integrity, curiosity, and a willingness to learn, and you’ll build a career that feels both successful and true to who you are.

What advice would you give your younger self?

I would tell my younger self to trust the process and embrace the journey—success doesn’t happen overnight. There will be bumps along the way, but each challenge is an opportunity to grow. Don’t be afraid to take risks, but also give yourself grace when things don’t go as planned. Build a strong network, invest in learning, and remember that relationships are everything in real estate. And most importantly, stay true to your values—authenticity and integrity will always guide you to the right people and opportunities.
