About us
We’re a 69-room independent hotel on College Avenue, directly across from campus, with a bar that has a photo booth and regular specials to keep things interesting.
The hotel is named for Nina Belle Buxton, who always baked more cookies than anyone needed so no one would feel left out. That’s more or less our operating philosophy. We call it going the Xtra mile, and it shows up in the small stuff.
We’re looking for someone to help us show that side of the place.
What you’ll do
- Shoot photo and video around the property — guest rooms, the pool, the bar, Caldwell specials, the details guests tend to stop and look at, etc.
- Build content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. The hotel and The Caldwell have separate handles and separate personalities
- Draft captions in the brand voice
- Edit and organize content for approval before it goes out
- Keep an eye on comments and DMs, and flag anything that needs a real answer from us
- Help keep and create a content calendar
Everything you make comes back for approval before it posts, so you’ll have a real set of eyes on your work and real feedback every week. You’ll also have genuine creative input — if you’ve got an idea for a series, pitch it!
What we’re looking for
- A good eye and creative mind
- Comfort with editing tools — CapCut, Lightroom, Canva, Premiere, whatever you’re fluent in
- Someone in tune with current social trends
- Reliable and flexible
- Availability for some evening and weekend hours, since that’s when the bar is most itsel
The Xtra
- $16.00/hour, roughly 20 hours a week for a 3-6 month period
- A hotel-provided phone for shooting
- Access to our Wellness Room — cold plunge, infrared sauna, red light booth, and hydro massage bed, open 6am to 4pm
