As an Operations Analyst, you will gain well-rounded operations experience and critical business skills while contributing to the future success of LAB QS. This position will be responsible for and assist with a variety of compliance, trade and accounting/finance related functions with a primary focus on daily trade operations and fund accounting related tasks. This position will also have the opportunity to work with other areas as needed Including business development, client service, trading, and management company accounting.
Role Responsibilities:
Operations:
- Assist with daily trade operations with oversight from the investment team.
- Review daily position reconciliations and resolve breaks with the appropriate parties, including brokers, traders, prime brokers, and fund administrators.
- Understand the organization’s automated trading system and prepare its execution metrics (tracking error & TCA).
- Work with accounting team and fund administrator to ensure all activity is properly recorded and documented.
- Work with auditors and third-party service providers on accounting and reporting related items.
- Involved with fund accounting as well as General Partner/management company accounting.
- Decipher and organize portfolio data in a cohesive manner.
- Document ongoing manager reviews, internal underwriting standards and other diligence areas.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of a compliance recordkeeping system to keep up with compliance requirements and amendments to industry regulations.
- Provide day-to-day support with ongoing projects alongside team leaders.
Client Services:
- Assist with CRM related activities Including contact maintenance, email creation and dissemination and build out of CRM tools to assist business development.
- Monitor and respond to current and prospective limited partner Inquiries.
- Assist with onboarding new clients.
- Serve as point person for fund administrator related inquiries and activities.
- Assist with the build out of the client service offering.
- Manage ongoing revisions to firm marketing materials with updated performance and statistics.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of work experience in a finance related position (Internship a plus).
- Hedge fund operations, client service or accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with Python, Salesforce and Quick Books preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrate Independent critical thinking, logical reasoning, and mathematical skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions with current and prospective investors, including clear and respectful communication, timely follow-ups, and a polished presentation.
- Ability to analyze and present options to resolve complex situations.
- Strong work ethic and initiative with a positive attitude.

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act, LAB is providing a good faith base compensation range for the position $70,000-$85,000. This range is estimated for this role, actual pay may be different dependent on the successful applicant’s skills and experience, as well as the specific positions business line, scope, and level.
