Position: Sales and Merchandising Analyst Intern
Location: KEEN’s Global Headquarters in Portland, Oregon (on-site)
Duration: 10 weeks
Compensation: $20/hour
Program Duration: Monday, June 16th – Friday, August 22nd
What You’ll Do
The Utility Commercial Team Intern builds tools, dashboards and metrics designed to inform, guide, monitor and analyze sales and marketing initiatives, product performance, and new product delivery accuracy. This role works cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing and Planning to deliver analytical insights and performance reviews including but not limited to gender, category, region, channel, lifecycle, SKU penetration, productivity, average sales price, competitive landscape, and customer purchasing behavior.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develops, drives, and continuously refines a data-driven, metrics-based set of tools to inform the businesses forward-looking plan as part of KEEN’s long-term strategic business plan and vision.
- Builds Power BI dashboards using relational data sources to create efficiencies in reporting
- Provides regular analysis on KPI metrics at key product checkpoints that will inform key stakeholders, drive the business, and create value for the brand
- Completes analyses (forward-looking and post-mortem) to inform the briefing seasonal kickoff and key product checkpoints. Synthesize the findings and inputs including but not limited to: regions, gender, silhouette, pricing strategies, product lifecycles, selling channels (Wholesale, Pure Play, Social Commerce, DTC), segmentation, brand, sell-through data, SMU’s, competitors and wholesale channels
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong analytical and organizational management skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, Tableau, Data Visualization, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, PowerPoint, and SAP.
- Must be enrolled an accredited college or university at the Junior, Senior, or Graduate level.
- Must be able to dedicate 40 hours/week toward the internship during normal M-F PST working hours
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to learn new software programs.
- Ability to solve problems with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and on tight deadlines.
- Able to sit and/or stand at a desk and use a computer for extended periods of time.

Program Requirements:
To qualify for this internship, you must:
- Be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
- Be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Commit to a 10-week program from mid-June through mid-August
- Dedicate 40 hours per week during standard M-F, PST working hours
- All roles are located in Portland, OR. Must be able to move to Portland during the duration of the internship if you are not already living here.
- Plan no more than four total days of vacation during the internship
