About the Role
Join Horizon Family Brand’s Business Applications team for a hands-on summer internship where you’ll play a meaningful role in shaping how our organization manages, documents, and navigates its core systems. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of business and technology — translating complex technical processes into accessible, user-friendly solutions that real people rely on every day.
Timeline: June – August 2026
Location: Hybrid | 3 days per week on-site in Broomfield, CO
Note: No relocation assistance will be provided. As part of the application process, you may be asked to submit a project plan.
What You’ll Do
Business Application Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
You’ll explore Horizon’s application and data landscape—analyzing, documenting, and improving functional and technical processes across core platforms such as SAP ECC, Monday.com, Confluence, and other integrated systems. A key focus will be creating clear, structured documentation that support both current operations and future innovation.
Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, you’ll gather requirements and feedback to support the development of master data workflows, SAP standard operating procedures, and system integrations. A central part of this role is acting as a bridge between teams—translating complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation that is accessible to non-IT users while still meeting technical needs.
AI & Process Enablement:
You’ll help prepare the organization for AI-driven capabilities by structuring documentation and process flows in ways that can be leveraged by automation and intelligent systems. This includes identifying opportunities where improved data quality, documentation, and integration can enable smarter workflows, decision-making, and future AI use cases.
Project Deliverables
By the end of the summer, you’ll have driven real, lasting impact. Your key deliverables include:
- A complete end-to-end documentation framework for system processes, business application specifications, integration specs, and data governance to be used by core Business Applications, IT, and Functional Business teams.
- Master data approval workflows for critical data objects across multiple business teams for improved data governance
- Clear, precise, and user-friendly system process, master data, and application integration documentation that positions Horizon to leverage AI-driven process improvements
