Now Hiring: Recruiter (Professional Talent Detective 🕵️‍♀️)

Do you enjoy talking to people, spotting talent before everyone else does, and convincing awesome humans to join an awesome company?

Do you have a knack for networking, organizing chaos, and occasionally explaining to hiring managers why their “perfect unicorn candidate” may or may not exist?

Congratulations. You might be the Recruiter we’re looking for.

At Ford AV, our recruiters help build the teams that install incredible AV systems across the country. That means you’ll be helping us find technicians, engineers, project managers, sales professionals, and other brilliant people who keep the wheels turning.

Think of it as part matchmaker, part detective, part brand ambassador.

💰 The Good Stuff (a.k.a. Compensation & Benefits)

We take care of our people. That means you get:

• Competitive pay
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
• Short-term disability and life insurance
• Travel Per Diem (for recruiting adventures)
• Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays
• 401K with company matching
• Ongoing industry training
• Professional certifications
• Opportunities to grow your career

🎯 What You’ll Actually Do

Find great people before anyone else does.

Your daily missions may include:

🔎 Managing full-cycle recruiting – sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring great talent
🤝 Partnering with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and help solve workforce puzzles
📢 Posting and optimizing job listings across sites like Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and Handshake
🎓 Building relationships with schools, universities, and professional organizations
🎤 Representing Ford AV at career fairs, networking events, and recruiting conferences
☎️ Conducting reference checks and coordinating pre-employment assessments
📊 Keeping our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) organized and accurate
✨ Making sure candidates have a great experience from application to onboarding

Basically: you help great people find great careers.

🧠 What Makes Someone Great at This Job

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Communications, or similar field (preferred)
• Experience in recruiting, sourcing, or HR (preferred but not mandatory)
• Excellent communication skills (you’ll talk to a lot of people)
• Strong organization and multitasking skills
• Comfortable speaking with individuals and large groups—both in person and virtually
• Familiarity with ATS systems and online recruiting platforms
• Natural networking ability (you’re the kind of person who makes friends in line at coffee shops)

🧩 Who Thrives in This Role

People who are:

✔ Curious about people
✔ Energized by networking
✔ Organized (or at least organized enough to keep 47 job openings straight)
✔ Comfortable juggling tasks in a fast-paced environment
✔ Excited about helping people land careers—not just jobs

If you like people, problem solving, and building great teams, this could be a great fit.

Plus, you’ll finally have a professional excuse to say:
“I meet interesting people for a living.”
