Primary responsibilities include daily payment processing received via mail, over-the-counter payment, and electronic online payments as well as telephone customer service for the Office of the Treasurer. Other duties include issuance of Certificate of Taxes Due, mobile home functions, and historical office research.
Qualifications, education and experience as it relates to the position will be taken into consideration when determining hiring salary:
Property Tax Specialist I: Generally, the hiring range is $39,681-$49,601 annually.
Property Tax Specialist II: Generally, the hiring range is $45,979-$57,474 annually.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Property Tax Specialist I:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of two (2) years of related office experience with focus on customer service.
Property Tax Specialist II:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of three (3) years of office experience with focus on customer service plus one year of property tax experience.
This position requires the daily use of basic math and calculation of amounts such as interest, proportions and percentages. Advanced clerical and computer skills, organizational skills, and research skills. The ability to successfully perform within high volume customer service capacity while performing monetary transactions. A combination of education and experience may be considered for a well qualified candidate.
