Position Summary
The Department of Art and Art History seeks a self-directed, innovative, organized, and creative student to administer its social media accounts and generate regular, original content to support the Department’s storytelling efforts.

Anticipated Weekly Hours
The student may work up to 10 hours per week, must be available during regular business hours, Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and sometimes for after-hour events. Preference to applicants able to work both fall and spring semester.
Required Job Qualifications
Current student of the Department of Art and Art History in any degree path/concentration
Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms and digital communication trends
Previous work experience in communications, PR, and/or marketing
Demonstrated copy writing and editing skills
Ability to work both collaboratively, independently
Willing to give and receive feedback and meet strict deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity working within brand guidelines for an organization
A good eye for photographic or video composition
Photo and video editing skills
Working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, Creator Studio, Canva, and Asana
Essential Duties
Administer and monitor the various social media accounts of the department and respond to comments and direct messages in a timely and professional manner
Monitoring social media accounts for relevant content, department news, and reposting/sharing as needed
Work on creating a social media calendar for the department
Coordinate and facilitate students for account takeovers and posting access, as necessary
Develop and nurture positive working relationships by providing good customer service, timely responses, and professional behavior and work ethic, representing the department and CSU in a manner that builds trust and collaboration
Work collaboratively with the Communications Specialist and other professional staff from the department, college, and university
Be committed to continued learning and sharing of knowledge and skills as part of the collaborative department culture
