Marketing and Promotion Student Job Summary
The Career Management Center (CMC) is seeking a skilled and creative student to support our marketing efforts, with a focus on creating branded assets and promotional materials. This position will play a central role in both refreshing established materials and creating new assets that support Career Management Center goals, message, and voice, while aligning with university and College of Business brand requirements.
Applicants are not expected to be experts in all areas of marketing and promotion; successful candidates bring strong foundational design skills, willingness to learn, and the ability to incorporate feedback.
This position works 10-15 hours per week, with flexible hours between 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with some evenings based on event needs. Preference may be given for students with ability to start by August 3, 2026 (or sooner) and/or continue working into future semesters.
What You’ll Do:
- Produce original visual assets and promotional materials that enhance the CMC’s communication and marketing efforts, including designs for digital platforms, print materials, presentation decks, and events.
- Translate messaging and creative direction into clear, engaging, and accessible visual designs that support awareness of CMC programs, events, and services.
- Ensure all designs align with College of Business and Career Management Center branding standards, visual identity, and accessibility guidelines.
- Collaborate with professional staff and student team members to support marketing projects, contributing visual expertise while working within defined project guidelines and timelines.
- Support CMC team and collaborate with student team members during events as needed (mostly evenings, per the student’s class schedule).

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student at Colorado State University.
- Proficient using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or other similar tools to create original marketing materials.
- Strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or Business.
- Experience with customer service, marketing, or public relations (this can include internship experience).
- Ability to communicate messages and information to a wide range of audiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with photography, videography, or content creation.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to start by August 3, 2026 (or sooner) and/or continue working in future semesters.
Compensation:
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.
Time Commitment: 10-15 hours per week, with flexible hours between 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with some evenings based on event needs.
