Job Summary
The Business Development Manager increases company revenue by identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term business relationships. It is twofold,
1). Meet with carriers and clients, build rapport, and bring in revenue.
2). Hand over new sites to the Project Managers for ground lease development (who will build the solution) and dig in with the Project Managers to fast-track and smooth over any challenges with site development. The responsibilities of the Business Development Manager include developing customer relationships and optimizing existing relationships. You will attend meetings with clients and stakeholders and reliably report business development opportunities, current state, and risks with supportive data. To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate excellent communication, be persuasive, and have strong business acumen in the telecommunications field.
Responsibilities:
Data Analytics and Reporting
- Building and management of market analytics and data analytics on a regional scale
- Reporting on successes and areas needing support, as well as client and vendor interactions on a weekly basis.
- Building solid relationships with telecommunication partners and customers. Leverage key partners and commercial relationships.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.
- Identify and map business strengths and needs and recommend improvements as needed.
- Prepare all documentation required for business proposals.
- Manage data reporting and management through Atlas’ CRM tool.
- Business Development Strategy and Execution
- Client Development Southeast and Eastern USA – building upon and expanding client relationships and
- bringing in new revenue-generating clients under contract.
- Research emerging trends and recommend new strategic proposals.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business within your region.
- Follow and keep up to date with industry trends and happenings.
- Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients.
Vendor Development
- MLA Portfolio development and diversification.
- Business Development data management and reporting.
- Researching new markets and emerging market trends – report any news obtained through research and conference attendance to the Business Development Team ASAP.
- Developing new partnerships.
- Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition.
- Writing and presenting business proposals.
- Negotiating with stakeholders.
- Following industry trends regionally and nationally.
- Manage data reporting and management through Atlas’ CRM tool.
- Work closely with regional Project Managers on new site development
- Travel to existing and new markets – primarily Southeast and Eastern USA
- Analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Help with site development and engaging with clients for updates.
- Detail oriented and strong business acumen

Requirements:

- Ability to travel up to 4-6 days a month.
- Attend key industry conferences as requested and report interactions and industry information to the Business Development Team on a timely basis to strategize resources.
- At least 3 years’ experience in business development; telecommunications and property industry preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, urban planning, marketing, finance, or related field preferred.
