Position: Marketing Intern (Part-Time)
Hours: 15-30 hours per week
Compensation: 1099 Contract, paid per project
This is a 1099 position. Persons paid on a 1099 basis are independent contractors and are self-employed. Independent contractors are required to pay all self-employment taxes (Social Security & Medicare) as well as income tax. Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Marketing or Business student to join our team as a Marketing Intern. This role offers hands-on experience in campaign management and daily agency operations while working with multiple clients across various industries. This part-time internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain real-world marketing experience and could transition into a full-time position upon graduation for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Management:
- Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns for multiple clients
- Monitor campaign performance and compile performance reports
- Support campaign optimization efforts based on data analysis
- Coordinate campaign timelines and deliverables
Daily Operations:
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis
- Create content for social media platforms and marketing materials
- Assist with client communication and project updates
- Support administrative tasks related to campaign management
- Collaborate with creative team members on various projects
- Help maintain project management systems and client databases
Strategic Support:
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for campaign concepts
- Assist with presentation preparation for client meetings
- Support the development of marketing strategies and tactical plans
Qualifications
Required:
- Currently enrolled in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing concepts
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
Preferred:
- Familiarity with marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights)
- Experience with design software (Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
- Previous internship or work experience in marketing or related field
- Knowledge of project management tools (Asana, Trello, Monday.com)
- Understanding of SEO and content marketing principles
