Each year, CSU Real Estate students have the unique opportunity to step out of the classroom and touch the assets we call real estate. Fall 2024 marked our first-ever trip into the heart of the Colorado Rockies for an unforgettable day with Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW).

Hosted by the general manager of two luxury resorts in Vail and Beaver Creek, this immersive experience offers a behind-the-scenes look at hospitality real estate in action. It’s not just for real estate majors, students from marketing, finance, construction, accounting, and hospitality all come together to explore this exciting and fast-growing niche.

MVW flew in their top real estate executive and head of finance to meet with CSU students, sharing insider insights into resort development, operations, and investment strategy. The impact was immediate; one student landed a summer internship under the head of finance and spent the summer working in Vail. Several others were hired full-time after graduation and are now thriving in their careers. It was a powerful example of how real-world exposure can lead directly to real-world opportunities.

This October (date TBD), we’re heading back to the mountains, and we couldn’t be more excited. Whether you’re curious about hospitality real estate or simply want to explore career paths in a stunning setting, this trip is a perfect example of how the Real Estate Club and Everitt Real Estate Center connect students with industry leaders. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this one-of-a-kind experience that blends learning, networking, and adventure in the Colorado high country.
