Career Fair Series: Career Fair Follow-up

We hope you had success at the College of Business Career Fair—and we have some recommendations on how to keep your momentum going and follow-up after the event!

✉️ Send a Thank You Email

Within 24-48 hours of the event, send a thank you note to the people you spoke with, conveying your gratitude and reiterating your interest in the opportunity you spoke of. (Check out the CMC’s Guide to Sending a Thank You Note for more tips on how to write an effective note!)

🫱🏼‍🫲🏾 Connect with Recruiters on LinkedIn

Similar to writing your thank you notes, include a brief reminder of where you met and what you spoke of when writing your connection request.

Thank you in script text.

✅ Follow Recommended Actions & Advice You Received

Maybe a recruiter instructed you to apply for a position through their company’s website, email them with additional information, complete an assessment—do whatever they said to keep the application process going!

📅 Schedule a Mock Interview

If you’re actively searching for internships and jobs, you’ll probably be interviewing soon. Get a head-start practicing your responses and calming any pre-interview jitters by scheduling a Mock Interview.
